A celebrated modernist home perched above Silver Lake
For this project, our focus was on translating the essence of a coastal home that feels as if it’s always belonged to its rugged seaside setting. Set along the windswept shores of Scrubby Bay, the residence responds directly to the terrain and tidal edge, opening to ocean views while remaining grounded in the dune grasses and coastal scrub that define the site. We worked with the ever-shifting light and breeze, capturing the way materials and form shift with weather and tide and creating a visual rhythm that reflects the architecture’s dialogue with its surroundings. The project was filmed using the RED Raptor and RED Komodo paired with Sigma Cine Zooms, with the DJI Mavic 4 Pro providing aerials that trace the home’s dynamic relationship to the shoreline and reveal its organic siting within the coastal landscape.
